Omalizumab (Xolair®) is a recombinant DNA-derived humanized IgG1κ monoclonal antibody that binds human immunoglobulin E (IgE) for the treatment of moderate to severe persistent allergic asthma and Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria (CIU).
